Furneaux Museum
Visit the Furneaux Museum and learn about the cultural and natural history of the Furneaux Group of Islands - shipwrecks, farming, families, settlements, mutton birding and the local flora and fauna - housed in the historic buildings themselves.
Local produce
Shop for local produce on the island in the supermarkets at Lady Barron and Whitemark. Pick up provisions for a feast such as seafood, mutton birds, fresh fish and cheese.
Fossicking
Fossick for Killiecrankie diamonds and sparkling gems at Mines Creek and Diamond Creek. Killiecrankie diamonds are actually a form of topaz and found in tones of ice blue, pink, gold and clear.
Walkers Lookout
Take a late afternoon trip to Walkers Lookout and watch the sunset over a magnificent vista. It’s a great vantage point to see the island in all directions on a clear day.
Scuba dive
Go scuba diving with master diving instructor, Mike Nichols, who has been diving here for over 30 years, with a range of dives up to 35 metres in depth.
Strzelecki National Park
The wild and remote Strzelecki National Park with its granite mountains and rugged coastal scenery is full of fascinating walks and unspoiled beaches to explore, as well as many rare plants and animals.

Wander the wetlands of the Logan Lagoon Wildlife Sanctuary, internationally recognised as a significant wetland, where bird-watchers have identified 13 migratory bird species.
